NSW Pet Request Form

Written by FLK it over

FLK it over now includes a fully digitised New South Wales Pet Request Form, designed to make pet applications simple, compliant, and easy to manage for agents, tenants, and landlords.

The form guides tenants step‑by‑step through a compliant NSW pet request workflow and ensures all required information is captured before submission.

How it works:

Step 1: Share your link with the tenant

This form works a little differently from our usual FLK it over documents. Instead, each agent is given a unique Pet Request link to share with tenants. Since the link is personalised, any completed request is automatically linked back to you and your agency.

Step 2: Tenant Completes the Pet Request

The tenant is guided through the form in a clear, structured workflow. The request cannot be submitted until all mandatory fields are completed.

Some special features:

  • Tenants can apply even if they haven't bought the pet yet (leaving microchip numbers for later).

  • They can upload photos and council registrations directly.

  • If multiple people live in the property, the system automatically routes the document to all tenants for signing.

Step 3: Agent Notification & Review

Once the form is submitted, you will receive an email notification confirming the property address, and the tenant(s) making the request.
You can then review the request directly through FLK it over, and have the opportunity to nominate who will complete the response on behalf of the property.

  • Option A (Agent Responds): You set the conditions or rejection reason, then send it to the Landlord for a final signature.

  • Option B (Landlord Responds): You send the request directly to the Landlord to answer the approval questions and sign.

Step 4: Finalisation

Once the Landlord signs, the document is returned to you. You then distribute the final version to all parties, and a copy is securely stored in your dashboard.

*If the applicant has added any attachments, we’ll also include them in the final email along with the PDF.

⚖️ Compliance & Tracking

FLK it over includes built-in safeguards to ensure you meet NSW legislative requirements:

  • Approval timeline: NSW law requires a response within 21 days.

  • Reminders: If a request is still pending with 4 days remaining, the system sends you a notification to let you know there is still a pending application

  • Annexure Generation: If the tenant provides extensive notes or has more than 3 co-tenants, the system automatically generates Annexure pages to keep the document legally sound.

💡 Quick Troubleshooting

  • Can't find a request? Ensure the tenant used your specific link and completed all fields.

  • Application hasn't been received? If there are multiple tenants, the application will not be submitted until all tenants sign. You can check the progress anytime by viewing your Sent for Signing dashboard or opening the Upload a Doc to see each tenant’s status.

  • Where can I check the status of my agreement? Once the document is shared with the landlord for signing, it will appear as a typical Upload a doc in sent for signing and you'll be able to view all progress.
