In this article, we will guide you through the process of using the Internal Checklist feature to ensure lease-sending compliance. The Internal Checklist is an optional tool designed to help your staff maintain a consistent and compliant approach to sending leases. By using this feature, you can prevent the sending of leases until all necessary questions are answered correctly.
Activating Internal Checklist
Activating Internal Checklist
Internal checklists can only be activated and edited by admin users. Once the checklist is activated, it is uniform for all staff members creating a RTA.
To create a checklist, admin users go to settings>defaults, and scroll down to the very bottom. Click on "Add checklist Item" and customise questions to suit your specific leasing process.

Choosing Answer Formats
Choosing Answer Formats
The Internal Checklist feature allows you to choose between two answer formats: "Yes/No" questions or "Done" questions.
If you choose the "Yes/No" question format, your staff will need to answer each checklist question with either a "Yes" or "No." This format is more suitable for record-keeping purposes, allowing you to track staff responses over time.
If you choose the "Done" question format, answering checklist items becomes mandatory. Staff members must mark each question as "Done" to indicate completion. If a question isn't marked as "Done," the lease cannot be sent.
Practical Application
Practical Application
At the end of creating your lease, the checklist will appear.
Once all checklist questions are answered appropriately based on your chosen format, your staff will be able to send the lease.
Once a lease has been sent for signing, you can view the checklist at the top of the lease document when you open it from the dashboard. This allows you to easily review the checklist items that were completed before the lease was sent.
